Volunteer Day Recap: March 27'10

"Hit the Trail!" ~ 10am - 2pm

Friends, we did it again: another record-setting day out at the Bend! 51 volunteers, including members from the Newnan Rotary, the Newnan Hiking Club, and the National Biology Honor Society, plus GA State Rep. Lynn Smith and some new faces! -- came out to the park and contributed in many ways to the creation of nearly two miles of trail!

We had six different teams working on six different sections of trail, ranging from the easy to the complicated. And that doesn't count extra tasks like rock-gathering and building footbridges. Things went very smoothly once work got underway, and your efforts were extremely productive. No injuries, everyone had fun, and the day set us up to complete those sections on our April workdays.

Once again, Friends -- thanks, y'all for coming out and being a HUGE part of your Chattahoochee Bend State Park!
